At our July group meeting we had a very interesting talk about Wells, Waste and Water based on the speaker’s research centred on the neighbouring Bampton Parish

It started us thinking about our own village – where exactly were the wells in the parish? We decided to do some investigation and this is where we need your help.

Do you know about any wells elsewhere in the parish?

We are interested in the whole parish of Aston, Cote, Shifford & Chimney and hope to eventually publish our research on the website. If you have any information about wells, other historical water sources or even outside toilets please do get in touch with us through:
